A
"unique dining experience ..."
Upon arriving at Avondale Farm Preserve in late afternoon, the more than 120
guests were seated in an al fresco dining room, where dinner unfolded
at a long table set along the field for a unique dining experience. The chefs,
David Miguel and Chris Champagne of 84 High Street, Andrew Nathan of The Cooked
Goose, Eric Perrin of Dunns Corners Market, and Allyson Mansfield of Vesta Bakery,
presented a fabulously delicious five course meal, each course paired with wine
provided by Dick’s World of Wine. All of the food was sourced locally,
and many of the farmers and growers attended the event, bringing a special element
to the evening. Throughout the meal, guests heard from the people who had grown,
caught, raised, and crafted the items on the table. The Westerly Land Trust Farm
Dinner is sure to become an annual event.
